| RC's Beolach was born on May 30, 2007. "Wink" is a son of Search Dog Pete. Wink was one of six puppies who are all now training in sar disciplines. This litter of puppies were raised with enrichment activities specifically geared towards future careers in search and rescue. Wink was started on clicker training at 4 wks of age and introduced to human bone at 5 wks of age. Wink showed a great deal of promise at an early age to excel as a cross trained dog. Wink was selected based on his nerve strength with a variety of surfaces, friendliness to people, and high prey drive. Wink was originally scheduled to go to a handler in Canada for wilderness area search and human remains detection. Fortunately for us the handler was unable to take him at the last minute. As a puppy, Wink attended a seminar with Norma Snelling and one with Adela Morris. Wink certified on Nov 24, 2008 in human remains detection land with NNDDA. Wink successfully worked buried, surface, building, and rubble. Wink attained his trailing Type III on April 2, 2010 and his disaster responder hrd on April 1, 2010. |
