| Pete is sired by Kay Stephen's Vic, the 1996 nursery champion, and Purina dog of the year. Pete was tested on livestock and showed great potential, however, his primary duties as a search dog left little time for herding activities. Pete began training for search and rescue at 9 wks of age. Pete is an experienced certified search dog with several finds. Among other searches, Pete participated in the New Orleans Post Katrina Recovery efforts, Hurricane Ike Recovery efforts, and has assisted in locating the bodies of several drowning victims in Texas. Litter 1 Puppy Page At two years of age all 6 pups are in working homes being trained for search and rescue in trailing, area search, and human remains detection. Four pups are already certified in human remains detection and have had confirmed finds in the field. The remaining two pups were recently switched to cadaver and will be certified the end of this year. All showed interest in sheep at 8 wks of age. All pups had their eyes checked at 10 weeks and certified normal. All have high drive and nerve strength. These pups are extremely bidable and have a great work ethic. | Stinker Bray ABCA registered "Brigan" is a granddaughter of Keith Gilleon's Rockin G Spurs, the world's most winning cattle working border collie. Spurs was the GCSA dog of the year from 1997-2000 and the winner of the World Cowdog Challenge in Las Vegas in 2000. Brigan is a great little dog, very sweet personality, lots of courage and nerve strength. She successfully completed a scent detection training protocol for wildlife scat detection. She also certified as a therapy dog with Aggieland Pets with a Purpose. |
