| Pete participated in the NOLA recovery efforts in April 2006, deployed under the authority of the South East Louisiana Task Force One. Pete is a male tri-color Border Collie, born 1-25-03. CERTIFICATIONS NASAR K9 SAR Tech III area search NASAR Disaster Responder NASAR HRD- Land NNDDA Water Recovery Water Recovery - Don Abney TASK Area Search & HRD - Land CTSARCAM : Area Search, HRD, & Disaster. Pete started his SAR training at 9 wks of age, tagging along with his big sister at the 2003 LaSAR seminar. Pete is out of real working dogs, ABCA herding dogs, and his father Vic, was the 1996 nursery champion, and Purina dog of the year. Vic is owned and handled by Dr. Kay Stephens DVM.
