| RC's Cephira was born on May 30, 2007. "Phira" is a daughter of Search Dog Pete. Phira was one of six puppies who are all now training in sar disciplines. This litter of puppies were raised with enrichment activities specifically geared towards future careers in search and rescue. Phira was introduced to clicker training at 4 wks of age. She was introduced to her first human bone at 4 wks of age. She was selected for human remains detection due to her affinity for the training aids she was exposed to. She began offering a down indication which has been shaped as her passive final response. She also excels on rubble and a variety of surfaces. She shows great promise to be an outstanding hrd dog. She has attended workshops with Norma Snelling and Adela Morris before she was a year of age. Phira passed her first outside certification Nov 24, 2008 with NNDDA for Human Remains Detection. Phira worked buried, surface, building, and rubble. First NAPWDA certification in Nov 2009. NASAR HRD Disaster Responder Type III April 2010. |
