Instructors Bios:
Ben Alexander - NASAR SARTECH II Evaluator, HRD Lead Evaluator, NASAR SARTECH II, K9
SARTECH II - Wilderness Area, Disaster Live, Disaster HRD, HRD Land. Also has certified HRD dogs
under NAPWDA and NNDDA. Has served as a K9 handler and IC for HRD deployments, Ben has also
participated in the week long AFRCC Search planning course and will have completed the NASAR MLPI course
by the close of 2011. BS Animal Science 1987 SHSU, MS Animal Science 2009 Texas A&M, PhD student Soil
Science Texas A&M current. Ben has trained dogs in some capacity for over 29 years, starting at the age of 8
training GSD's in obedience. Involved in SAR since 2000, has certified 3 dogs in live find, 4 in HRD, and is currently
fielding two certified cross trained dogs and training two young single purpose dogs.
Jennifer Blanton - NASAR SARTECH II, K9 SARTECH III Trailing, Disaster HRD, HRD land,
NNDDA HRD. Involved in SAR since 2002, Jennifer has a BS in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M and has
been involved in training dogs for obedience, therapy, and search and rescue. Jen currently fields two cross trained
dogs (trailing and hrd) and has certified 3 dogs in HRD.
Jaime Greenway - NASAR SARTECH II, K9 SARTECH Disaster HRD and HRD land. Involved in SAR
since 2002, Jaime has certified 2 HRD K9's with NNDDA and currently has one dog in training. Jaime has a BS
Animal Science from Texas A&M Commerce and MS in Animal Science from Texas A&M. Jaime also has over 6
years experience as a small animal ICU technician and currently works in large animal ICU at Texas A&M.
Tiffanie Turner - NASAR SARTECH II, K9 SARTECH Disaster HRD and HRD Land. Also has certified
HRD dogs under NAPWDA and NNDDA. Tiffanie has a BS in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M. Tiffanie
has over 30 years of dog and equine training experience and has certified 3 HRD dogs with multiple agencies. Her
first cadaver dog Fanta, was honored as the 2010 NASAR K9 of the Year.
